Arab Time

My maktok was capable of teaching Arabic language. 

So, during school holidays, our siblings and cousins usually stay at Maktok's house.

Watching television was the first thing we'll do once we arrived at her house. 

After hours of lazying around,

"Everyone switch off the TV! Study pulak!"

That was my maktok. 

"Okay, sikit lagi maktok. Habis cerita ni je.."

"Habis cerita tu tutup."

"Okay!"

Ten minutes later...

The story was over. Advertisement was playing.

As the eldest there, 

"K dah",I said while taking the remote control.

"Jap jap kak, nak tengok iklan ni"

Excuses. Normal.

The next minute, everyone was looking like zombies as they took their places around the rectangular wooden table.

Long faces. Slouching on the table. As if drained out of energy. 

"Tengok tv segar sangat, bila nak belajar terus ngantuk!"

Well, how easy shaytan tricks us. To love entertainment and to feel bore learning. 

 Don't deny, I'm sure you had experienced this too. 

So, let's stregthen and  protect ourselves from falling into the same trap again.
