Holiday Thoughts: #2 Siblings

It had been 3 years since I’ve been living away from home, just returning back during semester breaks. During this long holiday, I just noticed that my siblings had grown up. They are no longer the little kids that you can instruct them or ask for help whenever you please, haha. But they already have their own developed minds and personalities. The way they need to be treated is getting different. It’s time to treat them as a friend, as what the Prophet mentioned about educating children. At the age of 14-21, they need to be treated as a friend. (0-7 is playtime. 7-14 is about disciplining).

Balance our priorities well; between maintaining tarbiah in family and spreading da’wah to others. “Jangan pula, anak kera di hutan disusukan, anak di rumah mati kelaparan.” *is this accurate?*

"O you who believe! Save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones."
(66:6)

Adios.
